Service Description

FILM PHOTOGRAPHY FOR SELF EXPANSION { student master student | all levels welcome } The environmental portrait seeks to expand our immediate idea of a SUBJECT in its SURROUNDINGS; what then is the SUBJECT and by what cues does it fuse with or appear as separate from its portrayed environs? What messages arise as the frame depicting the scene widens, or shrinks — and what is the effect on the story that the image creates as elements are added or removed? In this class container members will explore the dichotomy of SUBJECT and OBJECT through experimentation with still scene creation & capture via the rather boundless nature of the environmental portrait. 11am to 3pm meet at P A R L O R denver ○ film camera + film required; however: ○ some LAB cameras available for member use — inquire for availability ○ some film available for purchase ○ digital cameras un-welcome in this container :D
